Bankstown Art Society was founded in 1958 by Artist and Tutor Ronald Peters and is one of the oldest Societies in Sydney. Currently the Society has over 200 Members and associate Members. Bankstown City Council is our major sponsor - visit website BAS is non-profit organization and managed by volunteers Other activities include demonstrations by well-known Artists, weekly workshops, exhibitions of members' work and social outings. The DE HAAN Gallery, situated in one of the Society's studios, is fully equipped with specialized lighting and hanging systems and houses a continuous supply of members' ARTWORKS.
